Tiffannia: Portraits

In April, I met Tiffannia through one of my clients. She needed some photos taken of herself for her new business. It was a rough start to the day because we didn't know if it was going to rain at our shooting location. Luckily, the rain held out and we were able to do our shoot. Tiffannia brought out her inner model and was able to give me some great shots. Here is a peek inside our shoot together.

Natalie Nixon: Portraits

When my good friend, Natalie, asked me to take headshots of her, I couldn't resist. Natalie is a ballerina and we take classes together. Since I have always had a love for the arts, I couldn't stop myself from working with her. We took the traditional headshots, along with some arabesque shots as well. The best part was when we had the chance to be creative. We walked up and down the Miami Design District looking for great places to get some shots. We finally stumbled upon this garden and it gave us the best shots of the day. We had a great time getting the ballet positions just right, but I'm sure Natalie was sore the next day from hold those positions so I could get the perfect shot. Thank you for everything, Natalie! Here is a look inside our shoot.

JD: Portraits

My friend Jordana has modeled for as long as I can remember. Two weeks ago, we both finally had the time to do a shoot. We decided on the beach as our backdrop, but we happened to choose a day when it was freezing outside. The day was cloudy at times, but when the sun came out, the lighting was perfect. Like the true model she is, Jordana got in the water for me even though it was blistering cold. Take a look inside our shoot.

Amanda Cazacu: Portraits

Mandy and I have been friend since we were in kindergarten. I trust her with everything. When she said she wanted some new photos of herself, we immeditately began brainstorming. We should about the beach, but then we realized that this time of year was too cold for that. Then we found an awesome park that would give us a vintage feel and it was perfect. It took us a while to start getting the poses that would look best, and most importanly, the lighting. When we first got to the park, we stayed in the shade, but we weren't get the shots we wanted. Once we went out into the filed where the sun was shining brightest, we started to get some amazing shots! I know Mandy's eyes were killing her, but it was all worth! Check out a few shots from our session below.

Young Family: Portraits

As the Christmas approaches, I can't help think about where I was last year. I took photos of my former co-worker and her family to use for the holiday season. The Young family have two adorable little girls who love to take photos. We went to the park to get some shots, but who thought it would be 80 degrees in the middle of November! We were sweating and the girls just wanted to play in the water.

Jake

I used to babysit my friend's baby a lot when he was younger. His parents used to say he was always an angel for me and my mom. I think it was my camera that made him so quiet. Jake is one of the most well-behaved babies I have ever watched. At 9 months old, he is just so happy and smily all the time. I love the facial expressions he makes, especially when the camera is on his precious little face.
