I have known the Talpesh family for almost 20 years now, and I was beyond thrilled when I was asked to photograph Alexia's christening. Danny, his siblings and I went to school together most of our lives. It was truly very special to now see him and his beautiful wife, Natalie, with a family of their own. When I arrived at the church, I was greeted by Natalie's mom carrying these beautiful arrangements. She told me that Natalie had made all the arrangements and even shared a few secrets with me. The ladybugs were all part of the arrangements because that is what Danny calls Alexia sometimes. What a sweet idea! The Precious Moment figurine that was on top of the cake had also been apart of Natalie and her two brothers christenings as well. It was so nice to learn all those interesting things.
It was finally time for me to meet Alexia for the first time. Alexia is such a happy baby. She smiles all the time and is just so lovable, and she was especially excited the day of the christening. It was so incredible to photograph this special moment for their family.
As the morning went on, the delicious breakfast was eaten, the family photos were taken and the cake was finally cut. When it was all almost over, I took a moment to look around the room. It was so surreal to see all the people I have grown up with having families of their own. It was very special to be apart of.
To Danny & Natalie: Thank you for allowing me to capture this moment with your new family. I cannot wait to see Alexia grow up into the person you both will guide her to be. May God bless you all!
