Although I am not a bride (and don't plan on being one anytime soon), I was thrilled to hear that Vera Wang was introducing a more affordable version of her creations. Brides with couture taste who are on a budget are now rejoicing—you can now walk down the aisle in a Vera Wang gown for less than $1,500.
The Spring 2011 collection includes 12 gowns in sizes 0-14 that range from $600 to $1,400. There are headpieces and sashes available as well. The design elements will follow the classic Vera Wang elements including hand-cut details with fabrics that include satin faced organza, lace, tulle, taffeta, crispy organza, charmeuse, amongst others. The colors of the gowns are offered in soft white, ivory, champagne and blush. Bridesmaids dresses, shoes, and dresses in up to size 26 will be available by Fall 2011.
White by Vera Wang is available exclusively at 150 David’s Bridal locations; all stores can special order pieces from the collection. For more information, visit www.davidsbridal.com.
